25!

Friday, 6 November 2015

Wow. I turned 25 a few days ago and I can't believe it! I know it sounds soooo silly, but I feel so old! time has gone so quickly! Im told all the time that I don't look my age (I don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing....I was onced asked for ID when buying Jeremy a 16+ xbox game lol) and I don't feel as though Im 25 at all. Ermagoshhhhh...
We celebrated with the fam and had a really nice evening out for dinner. It was meant to rain, but it
actually held off so we got to play mini golf! It was set in the botanical gardens and was so pretty. It was hilarious with the kids! Barclay got a hole-in-one as soon as we started, so from there on he was pumped for the night. Eva just loved picking her golf ball up and putting her ball in the hole all on her own haha.
As usual, we hardly got any 'proper' photos and these pics aren't the best. Ive gotta get used to this blogging stuff! I don't think we even got one single family photo, but these will have to do :)

This is the first year that Ive 'sort of' made my own birthday cake LOL! (it sounds so silly haha). Jeremy had good intentions of buying me one but I thought no way! Those dang things are so expensive! so it turned into a fun family affair and we got our bake on, which is a cute memory I will have forever. My Eva girl LOVED trying to do everything and Barclay thinks he is officially the master egg-cracker.

Well... another year older and hopefully another year wiser! Im so excited to see what being 25 has in store!

Beauty Bible: Spring Pretties

Monday, 19 October 2015

Hi Dolls,
So besides the hay fever, spring is probably my favourite season. Not too hot, not too cold - cardigans and short shorts make sense - skin is neither too dry or too oily (for me) aaaaaand its the season where I most loooove to wear my favourite colour....PINK...both makeup wise and style wise. Plus my birthday is in spring, so go figure.
Beauty wise, spring makeup usually equals light, airy, dewy and fresh. Corals, soft pinks, nudes, burnt orange, bronze, turquoise as well as pastels all come to mind for me.
So here are a few products that you might like to help you get that spring glow. These aren't all 'high high' end but they are all pretty much over the $40 mark here in aus, but are all amaze brands that I think are worth the cost.

Face:
SMASHBOX Photo finish pore minimising foundation primer

Powders:
CHARLOTTE TILBURY Filmstar bronze & glow (fair / medium)
TOO FACED Sweethearts perfect flush blush
NARS Blush - Gaiety

Eyes:
CHARLOTTE TILBURY Color chameleon color morphing eyeshadow pencil - Amber haze
TOO FACED Love eyeshadow palette

Lips:
TOM FORD Lip color Sheer - Skinnydip

Nails:
TOM FORD Nail Lacquer - Toasted Sugar

Scent:
DIOR Miss Dior - Blooming Bouquet

Tools:
NARS Yachiyo Kabuki Brush

I obviously missed a few steps (foundation, setting spray/powder, concealer etc) but these are what Ive personally been loving atm. Ive also included a few more products below that I thought deserved a mention as well.
Enjoy beautifuls!

Spring Hues

Monday, 12 October 2015

My poor little princess was miserable over the weekend. Out of nowhere she suddenly got a high temperature and a small mouth ulcer. Lets just say, it wasn't too fun. All she wanted was Mummy, boobies (yes she still breastfeeds LOL .. here and there) and lots of cuddles.
I absolutely hate seeing my kids, or any kids for that matter - sick. Its gotta be one of the worst things ever!

These pics put such a smile on my face, seeing Eva in bright and happy spring colours. Evas entire outfit is from H&M and Im not gonna lie, Ive kinda gone a little H&M crazy! (its new here in Perth, okaaaay). I swear I could spend hours in there! I love the kids section more than the womans section it seems. The kids range is pretty darn cute and super affordable, which every mama has to love.

If you follow me on insta you would have seen that Ive started to go high-heel crazy. I hardly ever wear high heels with jeans as I'm such a sneaker and sandal lover, but you've gotta love what good heels do for your figure! Im also in love with this boho top for spring, its so light and airy.

I hope your having a good week so far! Im so grateful that my little girls spiel was only temporary. It was all over within a few days thank goodness. Some aren't so lucky, so it was a much needed reminder to be grateful for our health. Good health is everything! so here I am, sending lots of 'good health' vibes your way.

Strawberry Kisses

Monday, 28 September 2015

We had a really fun morning out at the Strawberry Farm this weekend! It was our first time taking the kids out, so we wanted to capture the moment. Its such a child memory of mine, going out to orchards or farms and picking fruit (picking boysenberries with my Dad during school holidays was practically my first job). The kids loved hunting for the biggest juiciest ones they could find and stuffing them in their mouths haha. Its such a fun activity for both kids and adults!
Hope you're all having a great week.

Carpe Diem

Thursday, 24 September 2015

If you live in Australia or New Zealand, Im sure you would have heard or read about a beautiful young lady named Tara Brown who recently passed away, due to DV. I couldn't help but shed a few tears (and by a few I mean literally bawl my eyes out) after thinking about what fatalities she went through. How scared she was. How hurt she was.

I couldn't stop thinking about her beautiful three year old daughter and what she would now be going through. Missing her beautiful Mama, wondering where she is. It absolutely broke my heart, as well as millions of others around the world. I don't know Tara personally, but her story touched me in so many ways. Being the same age, with daughters who are also the same age - I just couldn't comprehend.

Tara was a total babe, and I fell in love with her boho chic style - which she rocked so well. I went hunting for a dress one day and as soon as I saw this I was reminded of her, so I instantly bought it.

It sounds strange, buying a dress because it reminds you of someone you don't know... but every time I wear it, it reminds me to hug my babies more.. to be grateful for every day I have.. that my husband rocks and I am so blessed ... to seize the day.
And brings a smile to my face as I think about Tara, watching over her gorgeous baby girl from above.

Fly high, beautiful

You can donate to Taras family and baby girl Aria here or you can also help to add something to a super cute gift basket for Aria by clicking here.
