Strawberry Kisses

Monday, 28 September 2015

We had a really fun morning out at the Strawberry Farm this weekend! It was our first time taking the kids out, so we wanted to capture the moment. Its such a child memory of mine, going out to orchards or farms and picking fruit (picking boysenberries with my Dad during school holidays was practically my first job). The kids loved hunting for the biggest juiciest ones they could find and stuffing them in their mouths haha. Its such a fun activity for both kids and adults!
Hope you're all having a great week.

Carpe Diem

Thursday, 24 September 2015

If you live in Australia or New Zealand, Im sure you would have heard or read about a beautiful young lady named Tara Brown who recently passed away, due to DV. I couldn't help but shed a few tears (and by a few I mean literally bawl my eyes out) after thinking about what fatalities she went through. How scared she was. How hurt she was.

I couldn't stop thinking about her beautiful three year old daughter and what she would now be going through. Missing her beautiful Mama, wondering where she is. It absolutely broke my heart, as well as millions of others around the world. I don't know Tara personally, but her story touched me in so many ways. Being the same age, with daughters who are also the same age - I just couldn't comprehend.

Tara was a total babe, and I fell in love with her boho chic style - which she rocked so well. I went hunting for a dress one day and as soon as I saw this I was reminded of her, so I instantly bought it.

It sounds strange, buying a dress because it reminds you of someone you don't know... but every time I wear it, it reminds me to hug my babies more.. to be grateful for every day I have.. that my husband rocks and I am so blessed ... to seize the day.
And brings a smile to my face as I think about Tara, watching over her gorgeous baby girl from above.

Fly high, beautiful

Lazy Saturdays

Saturday, 19 September 2015

Don't you just love a lazy Saturday! This weekend Barclay stayed the night at his Grandparents so we got to spend some quality time with our Eva girl. We had a delicious big breakfast (a ritual on Saturday mornings in our home now) and headed down to the park. I wasn't expecting to take photos, but thought 'hey, might as well make it a day to remember'. This is just a quick outfit thrown together, at the last minute. If I could do it again, I would probably switch these sandals for some cute espadrilles and next time Id make sure I had a tan lol!
It was such a lovely, cruisy day and a fun morning out.
We hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Eva turns three

My Dress: Keepsake (I'm actually wearing it backwards, as I liked the v-neck opposed to the square)
Evas Dress: Collette Dinnigan (No longer available - similar here)

It feels like my baby girl was born just yesterday - then boom, just like that she's three! Time has flown by and Ive loved every second of being a Mummy to my Eva.
My little Diva lights up my life. I can guarantee that her infectious laugh and ear to ear smile puts anyone and everyone in a good mood, especially me. She is constantly giggling away, dancing and singing and is always so bright and cheerful.

It was a crazy few days leading up to her birthday as we were getting prepared to move house. We celebrated Evas birthday at home with family, which was perfect. Her favourite food is...wait for it.... spaghetti! so we decided to have a pizza and pasta night with lots of spaghetti for everyone lol! She loved it. I  hardly got any photos from her birthday, so we decided to head down to the beach (one of her favourite places) and take some pics.
I am so in love with the age she is right now. She is so full of life! Always happy and excited, even about the smallest of things.

Right now she has this thing where she loooves opening and closing doors, she is obsessed with Peppa Pig and My little Pony and absolutely hates getting dressed (with a passion). Although, when she does finally agree to get dressed - she is extreeeemely fussy about what she likes to wear... #Sassy

I wanted to ask her a few questions to remember what she likes and thinks at this super cute age.
